PREPARATION IS KEY!
TIPS FOR YOUR UPCOMING ENGAGEMENT SESSION
I love to give my clients the freedom of wearing what suits their personalities, and what feels comfortable to them.
I'd like to offer a few outfit tips if you don't mind:
Choose 2 outfits each; one dressy and one casual.
Choose items as if you were creating a single outfit. (i.e. if your color choices were on one person, would the result be pleasing).
If you are wanting to add a splash of color with a pattern, make sure that one person wears the pattern, and the other wears a solid color that ties in to their partner.
Jewelry should be kept simple. If you have a piece that you absolutely love, or has sentimental value, by all means wear it. It is a good idea to keep things as clean and simple as possible because I don't want to lose you in the photograph.
Rich, bright, and deep colors are awesome for the camera, and I get so excited when a couple plays with color. Don't be afraid to break away from the blacks and grays. If you are unsure at anytime, you can always contact me and I can give you ideas!
If you are wearing a sleeveless dress, bring a wrap or shawl to play with. Bring flat comfortable shoes in case we have to walk!
A great time to schedule your wedding day makeup trial is the day of your engagement session. Makeup artists know exactly how to apply makeup for the camera. If you don't usually wear makeup, you can still have the makeup artist apply a natural look that will make your gorgeous features shine.
Bring a brush and hairspray in case of a breeze!
Bring your lipstick or gloss to reapply if necessary.
Make sure nails are manicured, rough edges are filed, and your polish is not chipping. I love ring shots, and I will get
closeups of your hands!
